A program that allows you to quickly remove USB devices in Windows XP.
USB Disk Ejector is a small, simple and easy-to-use program that allows you to quickly remove USB devices in Windows XP. Its essentially a replacement for the ’safely remove hardware’ feature, but is quicker and simpler than drilling down through the safely remove hardware dialog.

Here are some key features of “USB Disk Ejector”:
В· Mobile Mode: This allows for portability ; you can carry the program on a USB device and then use it to remove that device from
whatever computer you are using. For example - you can run the program from a USB pen drive, enable mobile mode and then eject that pen drive. Click the ‘run in mobile mode’ checkbox to restart the program in mobile mode.
В· IPod Eyecandy: If you have an IPod connected via USB, then it will have an IPod icon instead of the usual disk icon in the program.
В· Minimize to Tray: If you minimize the program, it will minimize to an icon in the system tray and wont show in the taskbar until restored.
В· Command Line Arguments: You can start the program with two different command line options, both can be used at the same time. /MOBILE - starts the program in mobile mode. /SILENT - stops the balloon tip from appearing when the program is minimized.

What’s New in This Release:
В· Now works on Windows Vista. It’s only been tested on XP and Vista but should work with earlier versions of Windows too.
В· Changed to ’silent ejection’ by default. There are now no messages shown when a device is successfully ejected, messages are only shown when there is an error and the eject fails.
В· The keyboard can now be used to eject drives (press enter).
В· Completely reworked the command line options, the old ones were removed and new ones added. See the rest of the readme for more information on these.
В· Drives can now be ejected entirely from the command line. You can specify a drive letter, drive name, or partial drive name.
В· Mobile mode has been removed, its now automatic. The program will restart itself in mobile mode when appropriate.
В· Completely rewrote the drive scanning code. USB devices that dont identify themselves as removable disks can now be managed by the program.
