1. install and do an 11 year crack of NORTON INTERNET SECURITY 2007!!!! (Follow the install instructions for this so you get it right)

2. Download NIS 2008.

3. Copy the CLTVault.dll FROM THE 2007 INSTALL FOLDER to your desktop or somewhere you can keep up with it.

NOTE***YOU DO NOT NEED TO UNINSTALL 2007. The 2008 install will do it for you.

(Disconnect from the INTERNET)
4. Run the 2008 setup and let it go through the motions.

5. After it fully installs and goes to the activation page… close that page then restart into SAFE MODE. (Press F8 in the bios until you get the selection screen)

6. In SAFE MODE, copy the CLTVault.dll from your desktop or wherever to the Norton Internet Security install folder. (generally under program files). It will ask you to overwrite the original. YES.

7. Reboot normally and connect back to the net.

PAY ATTENTION

8. Run the live update while your connected to the net… AS SOON AS THE ACTIVATION PAGE APPEARS… FLIP THE SWITCH ON YOUR ROUTER/DISCONNECT AND WAIT FOR IT TO ATTEMPT TO ACTIVATE.

Now during #8 you should see some activity on the actual program page when it loads the days left.

9. When the actiavation page says it needs to be connect… just hit the “X” and close it. Your app should be activated just how mine is in the picture below.
